Darwin's Danger Shield

Hi there! I'm have been using the Darwin's Danger Shield for quite a while now and this question has always been making me wonder, why does the Darwin's Danger Shield only leave the player equipped with it 7 HP if they get headshot (without full change) or bodyshot (full charge)? Because if my math is correct, it should leave the user with about 23 health. I'm not saying that being able to survive one of those shots stated above isn't enough it's just that, well ... the stats aren't exactly telling the truth if what I have said is correct.

I searched 15% of 150 and I got 22.5, which means the game would round it up to 23. Then why don't you have the 23HP and have 7? Stats broken?

Umm just one more question, can the Machina bodyshot (full charge) a sniper with the DDS? I'm new to TF2 so I don't have the items to test it out xD

173 (full bodyshot)/15% (aka 25.95) still = 6.6666
(same for rounding up)

Then the only reason people should be getting the Machina is the fact that you can get a collateral. I mean 173 damage isn't enough to kill a Demoman! Also, you can't no scope with it and it shoots tracer shots so why do people use it so much?

Because the Bullet Ressistance combined with the extra health forms the banned-from-competitive overpowered DDS.

OP admits they use the danger shield regularly -> I cry

Danger Shield is basically for surviving quickscope headshots.

It grants some bullet resistance and 25 extra health, meaning that you survive quickscopes with a fraction of health left. People tend to hate on you for it; the only time I ever use it is when there's a bodyshot-happy Gibusvision/Machina/DDS sniper on the other team and I have to be able to take a hit to fire a shot. That, or when I feel like being that sniper.

In the case of the DDS, critical damage is unaffected - this also applies to the explosive vulnerability.
50 * 0.85 + (Critical Damage = 50 * 2) = 142.5, rounds up to 143 damage.

Charged bodyshots should deal 128 damage.

I kinda main Sniper (Only about 170 hours as sniper), and I...HATE the Darwins.
It's like if I headshot the sniper, and I think I've charged the shot long enough to deals over 157 headshot damage, I shoot and the sniper just stands there because the Darwins and I didn't know I had enough charge. Then the sniper bodyshots me and calls "ez".
