Why all the hate with Spy Mains?

Title says it all. Why do people hate Spy mains? I'm a Spy main myself and my interactions with other spy mains prove that they aren't as toxic as other mains are. So I don't really understand. Most hate towards them come from Engi and Pyro mains too.

back when 90% of the playerbase used the DR, there used to be lots of elitism/toxicity in the spy community due to the circlejerk of how 'hard' it was to play

spy mains were basically the TF2 equiv of CoD quickscopers a few years back, with the super edgy youtube fragmovie scene and everything
they'd talk shit at people playing 'normal' classes while being completely carried by the hilarious broken pre-every-nerf DR
any criticism of lagstab BS or the DR would be instantly met with harassment or verbal taunting

50 trillion stabby wannabes obsessed with stairstabbing tainted the community to the point where 'spy mains' became an enormous joke

that's all pretty much died down these days and lime snipers/scouts are the new cancer community

Hate spy because they gave him the more silent cloak from the Poly count update set. Bad move valve a lot of people were complaining about it when it came out so why they added it I do not know.

Well

Absolute ninja-like, can destroy engis, trickstab lelelel, and can also do 102 dmg with a good ambi shot, and can eradicate and make someone rage quit if they don't spy-check every second.

But a Spy main can be killed easily if you figure out the pattern.

depressingly true.

and I can't exactly see how spy was hard when you used a weapon that could let you tank the combined fire of the entire enemy team and survive. (1250 damage health you had pretty much)
I even tried it out and it definitely didn't feel difficult, but still a invismasterrace.

It's best to dedicate your time to a single(or couple) classes.

I like supporting my team so I've learned to play engi medic and pyro,the three big supporters in,this day and age of tf2 for example

The only thing I hate is the Ambassador on someone who knows how to use it because headshots are my weakness. Thankfully, I rarely come across these spies.

Also, not the spies fault, but I hate when my PC has to lag right at the moment I'm dealing with a spy so I get facestabbed. Thanks PC.

Has anyone seen a kid which thinks he is such a pro because he gets assists but thinks he got a kill on the killfeed and that he wrecks anyone at sight. Too bad for those guys, the good spies are always out of sight at the kill and are at the front for something much better than a kill, trickstabs. Apparently these PEASANTS!! I mean players hate a good trickstab especially when they think they're so good they can't be killed then fall for that 1 frame of you at their screen and at the next their death out of nowhere. Mostly ending up with them callling you hacker when you keep racking up kills but this is for the kids POV. But what if a spy isn't that good, and reliable to take out key targets, they render to be utterly nearly useless. It makes the good spies look bad even if your so good already as a F2P. Those spies with freakishly great cosmetics but can't even successfully take down a nest or do their job right are the same as the bad ones. Overall giving disgrace unreliability and uselessness the good one's are looked down with them. And this is why most other mains may hate spy mains for the actions that weren't fit to be done by a spy. The class nearly becomes independent if it was to choose a goal but the freedom to do that is so good that others have forgotten the key role of the spy. These people go for the easiest kill or for the people with the least damage output but contributed less to the team. Spies taking out the targets that deal damage ,give health ,and cover is what spies are designed to do. They are the one's who must stop the resources from coming. Other thing that well I hate about ourselves is classtacking. Working with two spies is fine but when half the entire team goes spy hell follows. You are condemned to get lesser kills for the rest alert and alarm your enemy which you would not like as a spy which creeps from the back. The word instant kill gets cheezy for new players for it spells out EZ KILLS in their heads. And for those that use the ambassador to show off their dank headshot skillz(I totally respect those who do their job right picking on targets lower or ar 102 hp) well if ya cant get the job done why did ya do it, just to show off you did a headshot from afar as a spy. I as spy main made mistakes like these before and have learned from them but those inexperienced spies who rush in with no thought needs more gamesense and psychological training becouse trickstabbing is hard enough than it already is, prove them wrong

I am Engie/Demo/Heavy main. Being that Spy counter 2 of said classes. Therefore i hate Spies and there for I hate Spy mains.
