There is nothing you can do, need VALVe to make TF2 have matchmaking system with ranks similar to CS2.
Wait, you can play community servers.
Yet, people say autobalance should be removed.
if you put your sore loser side away and really think about it.
say games like CTF, i'm kinda happy that it is this way.
less 3-4 hour long games.
CTF is just flawed by many aspects, so that another pair of shoes. Still prefer close, slighly long matches than just rolling, even when I'm the one who roll
If auto balanced kicked in more, then people would be leaving more frequently instead of staying and servers would empty out quicker. People already can't tolerate being auto-balanced just about every single match as it is, and it almost never improves the enjoyment of the game once it kicks in.
I have 8k hours in this game, and I have never seen it used outside of just pissing people off towards the end of a round to deny people a victory during that entire time. If scramble is to come back, they need to make it only kick in after the round completes.
Auto-balance should be reworked into a new set up that gives more choice. Enforce it so that teams can only have the same number of players, while all the extra's sit on the side lines ( spectator ) and wait for their living teammates to die. Then the one waiting the longest will start the countdown the respawn while the freshly dead teammate will move to the end of the line to wait to respawn. Then re-enable manual balance to the waiting players so that at any time they can swap to the other team to even things up. This will allow those who want to stick to their team the option to do so while allow people to change if they either don't want to wait or to make the teams more even.
It's still only band-aid, as it doesn't address the issue that caused the game to be unbalanced in the first place ( the people that left ). But at least it would be far more tolerable this way.
Yes scrambles should probably only happen after a round ends, or in the first minute or something if it voted a little late.
Kitt please, I beg you. I keep telling you that this system will never work, and straight up would kill casual if implemented. Please just listen to me...
