Team Fortress 2
So Why did valve stop updating this game?
No major updates since Inferno..This is a tragedy.

Nah it's just business.

They don't think TF2 is viable anymore so they quietly dropped making meaningful new content. Now it's just holiday-sized slop and community infighting.

they wanted to turn tf2 into a compslop esport and the game fundamentally does not work in that format so the community ♥♥♥♥ on their horrible update and they got butthurt and stopped updating the game out of spite.

Blue Moon just doesn't exist according to TF2 players.

Did some Tftuber tell you that or something? You weren't even around when the update came out.

That's still not as old as tf2, which does still get updates btw?? The point is it's insane to update games as long as tf2 has been updated. And nobody appreciates it. Games don't survive this long. Valve deserves respect for it yet somehow it's used as an insult. This board is insane people.

still, it doesnt count as an major update, it may have added some cool stuff like the case and balances, but it still not a major update

and from what ive seen, the update doesnt even have a name, it's just called blue moon because of the case it released with

Jungle Inferno doesn't count as nan major update. It may have added some cool stuff like the warpaints and balances, but it's still not a major update. And from what I've seen, the update doesn't even have an name. It's just called Jungle Inferno because of the Pyro changes & maps added.

Well I agreed with that answer, because i'm glad that TF2 isn't getting a Source 2 Port similar to Dota2. Because if it did, it would ruin TF2 by having too bright visuals and will break mechanics. I don't want TF2 to go down the same path as DOTA2 being ported to Source 2, even though i've retired from playing TF2 (The last thing i've did is getting all of the Achievements)
if tf2 gets a port to source 2 it should be a completely different game, not be a replacement, that way we can have the best of both worlds and tf2 source 2 would add a lot of possibilies and it would be more easy to add more updates

valve lost their passion, even csgo's operations have gotten worse and cs2's graphics are all over the place, skins look like ♥♥♥♥ everything is bright as ♥♥♥♥

The fact that anyone thinks Valve employees are anything other than tech nerds is laughable. Every decision each employee makes is based on what's the shiny new thing to work on.
