Also, they were never smart to begin with.
Way too early to say that. One encounter is merely a fluke, and certainly not proof that Valve stopped playing bot Whack-A-Mole.
Just look around, its not just single players. 60 to 80% of every lobby is bots, some are playing as dumb as training mode ai, some are stomping your into the ground, and some are their human owners with cheats on top of that, running around with their little herd as a party. Its same as before, disrupt, EVERY SINGLE MATCH, AT ALL TIMES, just in less overt way. And you fools are oblivious to it.
Second of all, I can only speak for myself and what people are reporting. So far, there have been very few reports, none of them providing proof or at least a screenshot, and from my own experience, there have only been cheaters at most, not automated entities.
Until I receive some tangible evidence, I will have to call BS on a new bot wave, but if there is one, I'll just kick their ass again. I kinda miss doing that anyway.
That being said, I'm sorry for not blindly trusting a bot report, but I prefer to see things myself first before believing them.
