Best Spy loadout?

I thinks its this: Diamondback/ambassador, YER/Big earner, and red tape recorder.
But what do you guys think? Is my loadout good, what do you think is the best, and do you hate Engies?

if you're bad at the class and your only "skill" is the ability to farm new players via stair-stabs and matadors, then the "best" loadout is diamondback, kunai, dead ringer. if you're actually good at spy and can play against competent players who wont feed you overheal or fall for your DR then the best spy loadout is full stock with the occasional l'etranger, spy-cicle, and cloak & dagger.

Good point, but the ambassador is also great if you can hit headshots and the red tape recorder to annoy Engies with Lv3 everything.

the only time I would say rtr is worse is when they have a homewrecker pyro, but both choices are pretty much personal preference

I think the best loadout is: diamondback, dead ringer, the big earner, and stock sapper. Trust me, if you use this loadout for a little bit, you will fall in love, i usually get 2-3 kills per life in casual lobbies, and in always on top of the leaderboard playing with this loadout

Well for me i go for l’étrangère, stock knife, DR and stock sapper

CnD is generally useful, lets you stay hidden and strike when enemies don't expect. Combine it with l'etranger (both for generally longer cloak, and for "shoot and cloak") and you won't notice downsides. The stock knife (spycicle is usable but is a bit blatant, can deny you stab while burning, and will hardly save you from a competent pyro catching you after proccing it... with perpetual cloak enemies shouldn't be trying to spycheck near you anyway). Stock sapper because "sap and shoot" works even w letranger, even on sentries.

Tape recorder isnt good. Trust me, the stock sapper is far better. For your melee start with the stock knife. Once you get good, switch to the kunai. For your primary, use the diamond back. Its much better than the ambassador.
