What are your toxic TF2 community experiences ?

I could go on about how degenerate and toxic the TF2 compcommunities are, but the worst is the r/tf2 discord. It is the most toxic tf2 community out there imo

i've seen some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up ♥♥♥♥ and none of them even equal to the mind boggling madness i've seen their server
people will report you to mods for "ragebaiting" and other madeup nonsense whenever you make an opinion that they don't like. Moderators are totally biased and will mute you for any reason (usually for making them or their friends upset). And of course they have a super excessive automod censorship system lol.
i post a meme about "what's you game balance hot takes"
we start posting stuff and a bunch of super rude sweaty tryhards get max butthurt when i say that TF2's comp scene is pretty much ♥♥♥♥, so he calls his mod friends to get me muted
I just called them losers and left the server

i had checked it a few years ago too but i ended up leaving after a moderator false-reported me just to get me muted bc he didn't like me. Glad to see this place is still just as ♥♥♥♥ after all these years lmao

Anyway, what are your anecdotes about toxic Tf2 communities ?

Friendlies in generally have been the most toxic of all. Going into matches, trying to force other people to abide by their made up rules like they get a say in how other people play and own the server.

In community servers, got the vast majority of them perma banned on the servers, due to usually playing on those servers regularly to the point I knew the mods and admins well enough to ask them to deal with the little 's when they decided to play FAFO.

funny because many ♥♥♥♥ i got in the TF2 communites were from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy pro-trans/trans people who screamed transphobia over random things and got me banned because the mods p much always side with the trans regardless of context

This is pretty common on 100 Player severs

Though it's usually paired with Uber and not Vac but I imagine it's more effective on a normal pub server

Nothing out of the usual really. Slurs and bigotry being spammed in chat is maybe the worst it's ever been. I don't really engage in too much community stuff, it's generally not worth it.
