according to Twitter, Valve hasn't just banned existing bots, they are also spawncamping new ones. also, they seem to have manually-banned some cheaters with youtube channels.

I wonder if is a human doing all that or they created a way to detect bots and just auto ban them shortly after they start playing. I saw 6 bots join causal harvest yesterday and they were all banned as soon as I checked their profiles after.

It wouldn't be hard to notice a bunch of level 1 accounts being made and doing similar things, after all.

Yes, they have not only banned Rosne, but some other cheater who had a YouTube channel. Including all of their alternatives and any account merely in relation to them is under surveillance. It has been said that they are changing their IP's and software as an attempt to continue botting, though it seems unlikely to work. Non 0 percent chance that it will work though.

Well for one thing it's not a human, but an AI. For anything else? No one knows and it's better we don't.

My money is on the ai anti cheat since TF2 is used a guinea pig for CS and other valve titles.
considering how terrifyingly aggressive this banwave is, the use of an AI algorithm to detect and terminate bot accounts is not out of the question. in which case, that may explain valve's glacially-sluggish response to the bots. simply developing such a system would take a lot of time.

It was only a matter of time, some were too comfortable cheating on their main or uploading it to youtube

There's enough proof to lead to the use of AI being apart of it, manly due to ther partnership with an AI anti cheat company. It feels like that should give it away, but considering how secret Valve is it might not be all AI.

And they certainly would not communicate this and give the hosters a heads up. Even still they haven't said anything, this has been a silent war.

Well, not silent really. The hosters were coping like edgy children in their discord before it got deleted.

Doing it silent is always a good thing, I said it in one of my YT videos, but if they were going to say something corporate they shouldn't say it. It would come across wrong and only make them look worse. Being silent and giving everyone NO CLUE on what's happening only improves people's perception of them, especially when the community already has tabs on the bot hosters and we can actively see then fall apart in real time.

It's as they say, actions speak louder than words, and we are very much seeing the actions taking place
