Game just gained 40k players on SteamCharts in 2 days after the bot ban wave
But I barely see a difference on teamwork tf, explain this sh*t.
I don't even know which website to trust anymore....

Ok, so. Those extra "40k players" are idle/trade bots being reactivated, they have code stating "if server goes down --> wait/look for server mantinance --> restart" or something like that. Since the ban wave was, well, maintenance, the bots (who weren't deleted) reactivated when it was over.

It's the cheater bots Valve has been wiping out, not trader bots. Game is still going to have inflated numbers either way which is why obessing over player numbers is silly.

Don't forget afk people who just stare at the menu and idle trade bots exist as well.

Take a look at SteamCharts, For the past months, before the ban wave, the game had an average of 50-70k, now it went up to 100k+

Steam charts are not accurate.
