Here's why I play Typical Colors 2 on Roblox more than Team Fortress 2

I feel like I'm going to run into these questions the more I play and talk about TC2:

"Why do you play Roblox? Isn't it for kids?"

"Why Typical Colors 2 when Team Fortress 2 exists and it's free?"

"Hey nerd, the weapon balance changes in TC2 blow compared to TF2's."

"They made Medic into a nerd and Spy into a woman."

Here me out, I feel more connected in Typical Colors 2 on Roblox because it doesn't suffer the same bot infestations that Team Fortress 2 has. It's actually moderated and has an active development team working on the game. I actually like the balance changes since I play Spy very well in Typical Colors 2 than in TF2 because the Cloak and Dagger actually works better in that game.

Secondly, I also like the mercenaries in Typical Colors 2. Now hear me out, I still like the mercenaries from Team Fortress 2, but I also kind of like the ones from Typical Colors 2 a bit more. Marksman (Roblox variant of Sniper) is actually kind of funny, Flanker (Roblox variant of Scout) is a bit more of a jerk, and Trooper (Roblox variant of Soldier) is more militaristic than him.

I also find Agent (Roblox variant of Spy) more badass, in my opinion.

So I do make occasional comebacks to TF2, just to see how the game is going on peak player hours and see if I can complete the Pyroland contracts which I left incomplete years ago. I still run into bot lobbies, but TF2's gameplay is still fun and dopamine boosting as it can be.

And I don't see Roblox as something meant for kids, adults like me actually still play on the platform. There are some high-quality games on Roblox that are very fun and competitive to play like Aftermath, for example.

Good for you. Roblox has gone down the crapper and the hitreg (especially for melees) in TC2 and Arsenal is worse than TF2's bad hitreg.

Because Roblox is infested with children, you're up against lesser skilled opponents.

LOL i like to have somewhat of a challenge when i play shooters, that game feels like ♥♥♥♥, plays like ♥♥♥♥, and half the time you're playing against 8 year olds who barely know how to walk around the map... Have fun playing the knock off, us adults will stick to the good (only version) version of the game.

I actually played TC2 before I got the requirements to play TF2, it was on my dads old laptop. It was fun for the time I played it, I don't remember much about it. I know their version of Engineer had some metal backpack and some goofy looking wrench, but that was about it. I had some fun with their maps, the playerbase was nice and it was pretty populated when I played it (it seems to have fallen in recent times though).

Roblox may be "for kids" or whatever you say, but there are some pretty good games on that platform... if you dig past all the AI or sensory overload slop, then you can find the good stuff. Any time I hear anything about Roblox now its always some drama or some good games dying, when I played it frequently (which was probably 2016 or so) it wasn't that hard to find good games.

It's all slop now though, I only go to Roblox when I have nothing to do and I've played every game I own 10 times over.
