Because if your answer is yes then your best bet will be to play from alt account until next maintenance kicks in
I managed to play one tour of Mann Up trought the week but every time I joined it felt like sheer luck that the game didn't kick me out of the queue. Sometimes I got in during the evening, sometimes very late at night... it's incredibly unreliable.
As for an alt account I don't know, I would have to move my tickets, and buy premium again, and buy weapons again.
try DukeBruno123 advice from this post on reddit it work for me.
It doesn't apply to me. It's Windows 10 (I'm on Arch Linux) and it's about not being able to play on secure servers. I can join VAC-secure community servers. Thanks still.
I thought this was the case but I finally fixed it!
Setup that was having problems:
Zen kernel (latest)
Steam from pacman (official Arch package manager)
It may be a fluke or a coincidence, but I believe the issue was the Steam overlay not working (a error about not being able to load gameoverlayrenderer.so kept appearing but the ArchWiki said to ignore it because it happens even when the overlay is working).
The solution?
Switch to the Steam Flatpak version. Ensure the Overlay is working (Shift + Tab) and that it renders properly (icons are visible, text appears, instead of just two solid rectangles).
Now set Server browser pings/minute to 250 in Steam Settings, launch TF2 and done! I can search or join matches on official servers.
Additionally, I found another error; I can now find and join matches but hard crash to desktop before joining. This is fixed by switching from Zen Kernel to Vanilla Kernel.
And now, to begin the process of moving all my library to Steam Flatpak
I don't know. I'm just glad it's over. It was driving me nuts.
