I’ve seen a recurring joke about ‘being dragged into Brazil’ and Brazil in general just bei by categorized as a shadow realm of sorts.

Why do TF2 players joke about it? Do people hate the map called Brazil or are they talking about the country as a whole?

Is TF2 the reason the Brazilian mene became more mainstream outside of TF2? Or was there another catalyst?
