TF2 not launching 2024 [FIX FOUND]

Remove all of the launch options you have set on TF2, and the game can open again.

I tried to see if it was the launch options and it was, I copy-pasted my launch options in a text document to save them and then removed them from my launch options. And TF2 can now finally launch.
Windows will ask if "tf_win64" can access public and private networks, click "Allow".

UPDATE: Only some launch options cannot work and will not allow you to launch the game, for me it was "-no3d9ex" which I picked up from when I still played counter strike and it used to work for TF2 prior to the recent update. I found out by applying back my launch options one by one to see which one was not allowing the game from launching. If you are suffering the same issue, I suggest to remove all of your launch options and save them in a text document. And apply each launch option again one by one, launch the game on each option applied to see what works and what does not. Repeat the process until you find your problem and never apply that launch option again.

Yeah, for some reason for me when I open the game most of the screen is white besides some of the sections of it. Not sure why TF2's doing that lol

My game starts on my account but when i login to a diffrent account it wont start. I have same setting and launch options on both.

Windows did ask about the files and I did allow them; however, I'm not entirely used to working with this kinda issue especially since I haven't gotten the chance to try tf2 out yet. I'm a little lost.

on steam you can find a gear icon when in your tf2 steam menu then click on "properties". Or you can right click on the panel to the left of steam that shows your games then click on "properties". You can find the launch options there.

Considering how the recent update does improve performance, I believe you can go ahead and play on DirectX 9. Just type in '-dxlevel 90' so it's not too high. If there are still some performance issues, I suggest turning on "bilinear" filtering on your advanced settings or getting a config that works for dx 9.

it's ok, just as long as you verified the files on steam, steam will automatically fix any missing files which might have caused the white parts on your screen.

Some startup paramets from diffrent Source engine branches didnt work for TF2

Doesn't work for me. I removed all launch settings, but windows didn't ask anything and my game keeps crushing
