fps drop after 64 bit update

I am with a brand new gaming laptop and have been playing tf2 with no problems for the last 2-3 months, today, after the update, I have weird fps drops, could it be because the configs that are online are now outdated or something similar, any help is appreciated

I'm having the same issue, the game will be running smoothly then stutter out of nowhere for a millisecond.

See if you are running the game in vulkan mode, is that so, then use -gl in launch options, vulkan is not working as good rn.

If you are using a Nvidia gc then you should use the normal render instead of vulkan.

Any other ways to fix the problem cuz my stutters are hard very hard I can hit my shots hits that should have hit don't hit cuz my game shows the person there's then teleports because of my stutter is there's a solution other th@n-gl?

I found out my problem, but it's quite specific, for some reason, my nvidia control panel didnt detect tf2 after the update and for some reason capped it on 40 fps, I uninstalled it and installed it again, just to make sure it will detect it properly this time and it worked. In summary, if you have a nvidia control panel give it a glance.

In a team fight i get like 30-40 fps but doing nothing i get like 200-300 fps thats after the 64x update and its just bad and idk how to fix it idk if valve will fix it. But if anyone knows how to fix my frame rate problem because it’s made the game unplayable .
