TF2 NOT EVEN OPENING AFTER THE 64 BIT UPDATE

My game refuses to run right now, I already verified the files and reinstalled the game and restarted my computer but it refuses to open. What should I do now?

it's likely due to your antivirus. a lot of people's antiviruses have been flagging two of the update's files, so it's likely due your antivirus blocking these files, making your game unplayable. i would wait until valve fixes this

It's your antivirus. I use 64 bit and TF2 is running better than it ever has for me.

just use legacy, they goofed the file structure by not putting backslashes before spaces in file paths

bro, just go to properties>general>launch options>legacy opengl

us linux users have the same problem

I am a windows 10 user and it doesn't work for me too, I am trying to fix it tho instead of going back to 32 bit

This issues is more common on Linux, and also always allow the tf_win64.exe to run, any anti virus would think that it's a new program but in fact it's a replacement for the hl2.exe, it's like you just install hl2.exe for the first time on your new fresh pc.

No, you have to allow any anti virus to run it, and also you have to be the administrator of that PC you're using, and removes any set launcher.

Guys, I have figured out the solution. If your DX_level is set below 90, the game won't open. I had dx_level 81 and it wouldn't open, once I set it to dx_level 90 it works just fine and holy crap is it smooth now. From like 150fps to 350.
