I am proud to announce that I am a pyro main now.

I was wrong about pyro. I used to think pyro was a low skill class, a class that was boring, and a class that was complete garbage. But now, I see the truth. Pyro mains were right when they said that pyro was one of the most exhilarating and high skill classes in this video game.

This all started when I decided to switch from scout to play pyro. My friend “sharkie the shark #savetf2” introduced me to so many skillful pyro tech that I always neglected and said it was unnecessary. It was actually 100% necessary to do door glitches to extend the flamethrowers reach and then blast off once the enemy comes through the door, or the art of reflect jumping, something that takes more skill than rocket jumping because you need to get a soldier to shot a rocket rather than shooting it yourself.

Pyros combos are what define his skill. The more buttons you can press, the more damage you may deal and the more skill and more difficult it can be. It’s also awesome doing one tricks. People say sketcheks tricks are useless but in reality they always pop up. This probably is the deepest set of skills any class in the game has and it’s not even comparable. Every day new combos and tricks are discovered for pyro. One of my favorites to use is Airblast Ramp Juggling and comboing it with Double Axetinguishing while in the air for extra flashy points while I own toxic soldier mains.

Overall pyro is mechanically complex and super deep. It’s deeper than every class in team fortress 2 combined. I urge you all to play pyro.

In addition, pyro also has a lot of subclasses that make him really diverse. Stuff like pybro promotes teamwork and helps out your engineers stall the game out and make the game unfun for the enemy team because they aren’t using teamwork. It’s also fun to play the flank pyro subclass and the flight pyro subclass. There is also pyro shark where me and sharkie always queue for 2Fort and go pyro shark, it’s a fun subclass but unfortunately tryhard soldiers and demos like ruining the fun and scunts like capping the intel.

Did you know that pyro mains are some of the nicest and wholesome players in tf2? We do a lot like protecting medics, defending engies, and making the game better which is why a lot of people love pyro. Pyro is diverse and interesting because he is a canvas where people can make him who they want to be. Sharkie likes making his pyro like his sharksona, and I know plenty of them exist, but are unfortunately harassed by other players like soldier mains who are jealous of pyros massive skill level (they only shoot the floor). Pyro mains were also up and center during the savetf2 movement, making it a great movement that gave the game the summer update and the x64 bit update currently being worked on.

On this April 1st. I want everyone to appreciate the work, the skill, and the insane amount of work and dedication our pyro brothers and sisters put into this game.
