Weirdest areas in maps
Have you ever stopped and looked at TF2 maps from a realistic perspective? If so, have you noticed any areas that seemingly dont make much sense as to why they exist?

In barnblitz start on defense, there’s a large double door directly above, to the right of spawn that has a lock on it with the only way down. It stands out a bit

he just hates the map
completely realistic areas aren't going to be the most fun to play in but you can strike a balance between realism and gameplay imo if you really want

My presumption is that the doors there are acting more like window shutters, as there is a plank of wood directly underneath that.

They are rather industrial areas that already violate a ton of OSHA and other work-related procedures. It's only until you see things done for the sake of optimization (on maps usually from Valve) or laziness that it gets a bit weird.

Nah i like it🤐
this is one of the things that imo contributes a lot to the "liminal" feeling of TF2 and often other source engine maps.

wutville, but more for map design reasons than anything else.
Sometimes I go to the fence in middle of combat and stare at distance. Wondering how fun it would be to get a snipers truck with my friends and drive on dusty road to the sunset.

What is the rocket gonna do
idk its a rocket probably gonna so something important
and I remember. Luminescent space is spooky as well. Have you ever went on an empty map or empty office space? With tf2 colors it is really scary.
