Since pyro doesn't really have a true identity/personality workshoppers give him anything they find acceptable and put it on Pyro, so alot of his stuff doesn't go well with each other. Don't worry though, Pyro does actually have some good cosmetics. Here is a tier list

TF2 is a videogame about 9 classes that fight on two teams for an objective with in-depth mechanics and a high skill ceiling. Hats are way secondary, so when something like a cosmetic sticks out too much for any reason and starts to bleed into the gameplay it’s a bad thing. Saying that hats are what tf2 is sounds like your inner trader main coming out.
But I’m going to disagree with OP here and say that goofy cosmetics like the Respectless Rubber Glove are a little more acceptable since Pyro is a mentally rorarted pyromaniac. He’s totally going to put on some random ass object on his head and wear it as a hat (but that doesn’t mean put a carousel or a train on his head either). Same thing with Soldier to an extent (lead poisoning), since he has the stainless pot hat. Makeshift helmet!

I am not entirely against cosmetics begin goofy or silly but they need to have thought and care put into them so they don't feel out of place. An example would be the Cranium Cooler. It is a metal hard hat with a fan but it at least is still a hard hat and not something entirely goofy.
