Mic Not Working Since New Update?
I can hear everyone but when i press my VC bind nothing happens, they cant hear me and i cant see the little bubble at the bottom left it wont appear, ingame when i try to test microphone it just turns itself off, in steam and other games my mic works perfectly fine, any ideas i am desperate to be able to talk again!
ive tried verifying files, changing my mic back and forth and ive tried reinstalling the game all to no avail.

Did you check your keybinds in settings? Maybe something randomly unbinded

this happens to me too :(
It didn't happen to me, surprisingly enough. But that's because I was micspamming in a match several hours ago. Not sure about my actual microphone, though.

I'm also having this problem but some of my friends did these steps to fix it . Try going into your sound settings inside control panel so control panel/ Hardware and sound/ sound then making sure your microphone is set as default. After that go into steam and go into settings and make sure its also set as your main microphone. And then lastly go into tf2 go into your console and type snd_restart if all goes well your SHOULD be able to use your mic again however you might have to type snd_restart every time you launch tf2.

If you guys see this inside of your console "Unable to initialize sound capture. you won't be able to speak to other players." then your out of luck (like me :steamsad:)

not really a fix, it's more of a workaround to force tf2 to run in 32 bit instead of the new 64 bit.
