Team Fortress 2
Massive Issues on Linux (X.Org, Wayland, AMD and NVIDIA... oh boy...)
Tried firing up the 64bit update today on Linux Mint with an RTX 3060 and... it hard crashed my system. I've tried Wayland, Fedora with an AMD card, etc. Nothing works, and it always crashes on the loading screen.

(Can confirm, at least on xorg, the game tries to reset xorg into a different resolution and crashes it.)

Does anyone have the specific link to the GitHub page regarding this issue? I can't find it on Valve's 'Source 1 Games' issue tracker.

Interesting... kinda can't believe VALVe hasn't addressed this yet; seems to be a pretty massive issue. I'll try the -window command here in a bit. Thanks for the reply mate!

yea... it didn't work for me either... Do you use AMD and Wayland? (I only ask cause I use NVIDIA and Xorg)

It's probably best to play in WIndowed mode for now, and report the bug to Valve.

Give gamescope a try. It isolates the game's attempts to control the window within itself.

lmao, either way, a Windows user with an anime pfp? Definitely over chief. Why even comment on a Linux thread? that'd be like me going out of my way on a discussion board where the game isn't working on windows and being like "jUsT uSe LiNuX".

On mint as well and I'll get a frozen crash at the loading screen WITH vulkan, if I switch in properties to use legacy GL I get in no problem.
