Team Fortress 2
Possible ways of dealing with the bot crisis, and Valves negligence.
1: Play community servers. As cheap as this sounds, community servers are protected from bots because there is a human running the server, and can kick bots whenever he pleases. If you have to choose between a server that plays exactly like normal TF2 but is infested with bots, hackers, and overall horrible people, or a community run server that doesn't play exactly 1 to 1 like TF2, but is safe from bots, and often has decent people running it, it's no contest. If you want something that plays like normal TF2, I recommend Uncletopia and Skial.

2: Play another game that is like TF2, or otherwise. Again, cheap. Bots are going to get worse and worse, and Valve is obviously not gonna listen to the community, so playing other games not made by valve while still being good experiences could be a viable alternative. As hard as it sounds, finding a good 1st person shooter is actually not too hard. Games like TitanFall 2, hot dogs, horseshoes, and hand grenades, Pirates, vikings and knights 2, and Doom eternal are all really good or at least well made fps's, and there are genuinely good games of other shooter genres like helldivers 2, Boring man, and palworld. Even upcoming games like Doom the dark ages, Kriegsfront tactics, etc.

3: Support TF2 content made by fans of the game, fan game devs, youtubers, or whatever. They more often than not have the soul of TF2 somewhere in there. If you want a game that plays like TF2, then play something like TF2 classic, a mod of TF classic that turns the game into TF2 with more modes. Fan sfm and Gmod animations exist like Emesis Blue, Team neighborhood, the scratched universe exist too. The people making this stuff? Their TF2 fans too. You shouldn't paint all TFTubers as mass manipulators. Just because Zealot is a complete bigot like his name suggests, doesn't mean that extends to Soundsmith, Lazypurple, Uncle Dane or everyone else. Supporting a TFTuber isn't "Hivemind" or "Smoovthink" or whatever insult or buzzword people use these days. It's just supporting someone because they make good content.

Don't take this the wrong way, I love TF2 just like you. I'm just presenting some alternatives, to the normal game because of the plethora of problems with the base game. I don't want my fellow TF2 lovers to suffer constant bot attacks in casual. Spending eternity in the same servers, running into the same bots, while telling them selves, "It's the only viable option. There is no alternative." I want them to be free, and have fun.

People want the bots because they enjoy whining about 'em.

This is the absolute worst thing you can do and it’s the reason why the community is so ♥♥♥♥

On the contrary, people like you are the reason why the community is so bitter. I give constructive advice, and you respond with spite.
