Getting the proof of purchase hat

So at some point in the past, I've bought the Valve Complete Pack instead of Orange Box cuz it included all orange box games. And if you have bought the orange box you are supposed to get the proof of purchase hat but I didn't get it. How can I get the hat? Will contacting support helps?

You have to buy the Orange Box or get a physical copy of the game.

Unless you bought the pack circa 2016 (I think, cannot be bothered to check the wiki) you must buy the orange box

That hat is ugly and not worth it. Orange Box games are cheap when bought separately anyway, so save yourself some money and don't buy the bundle for the hat

The original way was that you had to have owned TF2 (which cost 7 dollars iirc at the time) prior to the Uber update and the game going f2p. In all sincerity, it's a crappy hat that you can't really do much with (uncraftable, untradeable, and unmarketable iirc) and kind of an insult to the people who paid for this mess. I have heard of some people getting it through a bug involving the Orange Box bundle, but afaik you can't have TF2 installed on your account prior to buying it.
