Edit: Plus it's just no fun allowed central.
I get tired of playing on the same 5 maps and no community server exists with a good rotation that isn't ruined by votes that go Badwater > Upward > BarnBlits > Pier > Swiftwater > Repeat
I want to play Gorge, I want to play Process, I want to play Lakeside and I want to play Mountain Lab too. There's a lot of maps in this game that are worth playing but the vast majority of servers have fast respawn, no objectives, RTD and other sourcemod plugins that mess with the vanilla experience or serverside bots that fill player slots.
The opinion of community servers is low because no one has stepped up to make a good vanilla array.
I know its a bitter reality pill to swallow, but this game has been around for nearly 20 years, so if casual is fixed its going to have tons of players at Unlcetopia skill levels. But also tons of cheaters, far more toxicity, screechers, waaaaay more mic spam, etc...basically how casual servers used to be when they were still playable.
So you get all of that, and the only debatable benefit being crits and no class slot. I have no idea why people are campaigning to get that back.
I see no bots
idk these people claim to deal with bots and it's so bad or something but not bad enough to deal with community servers
Which, I'm THANKFUL for the perfectly reasonable class limit of 3 per class. It prevents stupid ♥♥♥♥ like having five useless snipers and spies taking up 80% of your team's roster, and is more than enough for most people to have the class they want (27 slots for 12 players).
