Valve has no plans to port TF2 to Mac in the future either.
In fact, Valve is considering dropping Mac support for Steam entirely, as they have no Macs in their offices and only hire third party contractors to maintain (not develop) the Mac version of the Steam client.
Yeah, there's a 64-bit version of TF2 on the way, so it might actually start working on Macs pretty soon. But, the real deal is getting it to play nice with Apple's Metal API. Once they've got the 64-bit version stable on Linux, maybe some folks from CrossOver will take a crack at making it run on Mac.
