Scout Anon went to Valve, its what we thought.
Going to type basically what the 4chan post is, just thought since most of you won't see it originally or will see it watered down in r/tf2 or something I'll just post it here

>Arrived at around 8:25 >After 5-10 minutes of standing around some old guy in an expensive suit glared at me while walking in >Security guard comes out barely a minute after >Literally the first thing he tells me is "well you're on the public sidewalk, so that's fine" >I explain I'm not planning to approach or harass anyone, chant any slogans, etc and he looks relieved and goes back inside The rest of the day I had no issues with security, some cops on patrol did ask me what my sign was about though

Now for the bad news

If there was any doubt before, it's basically confirmed that Valve's radio silence for #FixTF2 is a top-down executive decision made from the start and not a result of confusion or internal debate or whatever the cope is. The Valve HQ building is shared with Pokemon and some generic businesses and banks. Whenever someone went in, it was easy to guess which of the 3 they were associated with
>Expensive three-piece suit, usually visable wrist watches Bankers and other businesses >Suit and tie, Japanese guys Pokemon >West coat casual or "casual formal" wear, scruffy or comfy clothes Valve

Using this method: early on from around 8:40 when the earliest of potential Valve guys show up to maybe 9:30, I got a surprising amount of nods, smiles ect. A guy pointed at my sign as he walked by. Another one actually shouted "THAT SCOUT IS A SPY!" while walking in. I would just smile or nod or do the guns like an autist.

After around 9:30 I assume someone blabbed about the Scout cosplayer outside the front door on their company comms and their PR team sent out a bulletin. After 9:30, people entering the building who looked like potential Valve employees ignored me in a very obvious "I am not looking at you" way, a complete 180 from the warm-ish way (assumed) Valve employees acted when passing by me.

On 3 occasions potential Valve employees broke protocol to ask for a photo. On 2 of these occasions they left the building specifically for me and went back in right after. I told them "only if you're in the frame with me" and they would balk and say something like "oh..." and leave. So I'm pretty certain around 9:30 their PR team sent out a bulletin about not going near the scout so their radio silence policy towards TF2 can be maintained. No PR person came down either

Outside of the brief period of interaction at the start of the morning, the rest of the Valve-looking guys coming and going would pretend I didn't exist. It was very obvious because the Pokemon-looking guys and the bankers would stare or smile awkwardly, and three different bankers stopped to ask me what my sign was about. So as far as #FixTF2 goes, this visit was a bust. Sorry lads. Valve won't talk at all even when visited in person which really doesn't bode well.

End of paraphrased 4chan post.

My 2 cents? Reading the full post made me pretty sad tbh, but I mean sometimes you just gotta let things go, the whole #FixTF2 thing was cool and all to be able to see a community come together, but the reason we did it wasn't a good reason and we only harmed something we like. TFtubers did this for money, and alot of you did this out of desperation, if you really want to fix TF2, stop interacting with bots/reacting and just enjoy the game while you can.

TLDR; scout from tf2 went to valve HQ, valve employees cool till PR team said "erm no" and they stopped interacting.

Well thanks for posting and I did in fact read the entire thing. It's sad but not surprising. Fact is, Valve just doesn't want to work on Tf2 anymore because it's ancient. Best thing to do is not give them one penny of your money. If enough people did it, they would be facing real financial repercussions. Face it, Valve is no better than any other AAA gaming developer.

kind of lame that employees weren't even allowed to interact with the guy like at all

I get not wanting to strike up conversation but the fact they couldn't even acknowledge he was there prior to 9:30 am was lame

This is epic it means the protest was moot to an even more embarrassing degree (I’m happy because it’s another weezer tf2 L)
The bad news is that nobody at valve could get a sweet pic with the guy from TF2 which would have made their day probably

That is if the story is real

When I read the first part of the text, I thought the cosplayer had an encounter with the G Man.

thats okay! I left a TLDR for you just at the bottom if you only want to read like 10 words. If you don't want to read any at all that's fine too.

i mean to be fair he had pictures with the actual days newspaper and he was infact outside of Valve HQ, if he was actually standing there all morning is another thing though, personally anon didn't deliver a selfie with Gaben and Robin Walker, so failure imo.
