Also, Demoman is the number one killing machine next to Scout. Even deadlier than Sniper. Scout has better dueling potential still, but Demo blows up everyone at once.
Honestly the type of games CS and TF2 are definitely have differences so not sure the comparison is so solid. CS for example has arguably the biggest export presence in the world and is renowned for its shooting mechanics and complex aim system.
Nobody plays CS because the shooting feels good or because the graphics are ultra realistic, orrrrr because it's a chill, goofy game. They play it if they want to challenge themselves with the aim system, and because of how satisfying it can be to pull off a clutch and save a round.
TF2 is arguably one of the worst games to play competitively, it's not balanced for it, and not designed for it. That doesn't mean people don't try to make it work, hell 6s exists, but the game is good for another reason. It's got its own unique style, originally a mod for Quake, TF2 has expanded on the original style and added new things.
However, where I think the game excels is where the design is, it allows you to have BOTH teamwork and solo play. Unlike CS where you pretty much have to stick together if your playing optimally, TF2 allows you to go off on your own, roam the map and take people down as you want. It's more laid back and easier to get into as you said, while having mechanics like rocket jumping, and tactics you can do that certain classes enable.
Engie for example, you can build a teleporter behind enemy lines for sneak attacks. Demo can sticky trap, soldier's movement with his jumping, demoknight, etc. How classes work in TF2 isn't really done the same as other games. There's a reason games that come after TF2 tend to try and copy what it did successfully and see what they can add to it that works.
TL:DR: The tactics in the two games are vastly different and people play both for different reasons. People play CS to clutch rounds, get good at the aim system, and pull off hype saves and skillshots with the advanced gunplay. People play TF2 because of the things the classes enable you to do, the advanced tactics certain combos, strategies and scenarios weapons can enable, etc. It's more of a sandbox compared to CS.

Actually, according to Metacritic’s score, it still one of the best, depending what you opinion about this game.
It’s still a Critical Acclaimed game, so there’s no other reason why they review bombed this game.
I honestly believe this is a bait or joke.
