Hi everyone, I'd like to give a little bit of hope for the doomerism surrounding Deadlock.

Just to remind you all, the first look we had of TF2 looked like this.

Half Life 2[half-life.fandom.com] also had a leaked beta and Valve changed the released game heavily in response.

TONS of Deadlock content has leaked online and the community outcry has been massive. Maybe the TF3 people are on to something?

A part of these leaks came from Uncle Dane screensharing the gameplay to a friend which he apparently didn't know was recording.

Isn't it convenient that we got footage of a game which only has a style of play which fits one of many niches of TF2's gamemodes? (6v6s, comp tf2 style)

I think the fact that the play testers described it as a tactical shooter crossed with a moba indicates pretty clearly that it is, in fact, not TF3.

Deadlock isn't even acknowledged by Valve yet.

Who knows what the released product will look like? Considering Valve's history with leaked alpha and beta versions of their games, the finished product could be incredibly different from what we've seen.

Deadlock is not at all connected to TF2

just want to clarify that the 2003 hl2 leak didn't have much effect on artstyle since they had the eastern european style basically down at that point

if anything it probably had them double down on finalizing what chaos they had done at that point, taking what worked and cramming it together

in fact a lot of people preferred the original style but I kinda get why they did

VAC works pretty well in CS2 from what I can remember. Its not perfect by any meaning of the word, but I think VAC is preferable over EAC or especially some kernel-mode anticheat like Vanguard

It's not, they had to manually ban like 30k people or some like that.
