That's what I'm saying! You misread what I said though... for a brief time after they hired the contractor the bots were actually gone but they were back once they figured out how to get past the new roadblocks.
The only reason I think valve doesn't want to hire a team for tf2 is they don't want other people fiddling with the work they've built after years but all they need to have do in this case is set boundaries for the team they hire. They don't even have to work in the valve office or be a "valve team" if they don't want them to.
This reminds me when they hired Electronic Arts to port some of their games to the PS3 because they didn't like working with the console. Why can't they do the same here?
