Should I take a huge long break or don't play anymore

I have 2,400 hours and my skills are just getting worse should I take a break or retire from the game

Long break. I'd only say quit if you stop liking the game outright.

Personally I found the exact same thing happened to me. Around the 2500 hr mark it felt like I was worse than when I reached the 2k mark. Things got better for me around 3K hrs but I admit I was getting worried for awhile as well.

If you have to ask about taking a break you already know the answer. I only play a couple times a week now and I find I enjoy the game a lot more. With some time off you appreciate it more when you come back:)

If it's skills, take a break.
Play other games to pass the time.
Decide if you want to come back to TF2.
Apply muscle memory from other games to TF2.
Skills improved.
