Team Fortress Classic or just Team Fortress players were angry and hate Team Fortress 2 because it’s a completely different game that changed a lot
Tech and mobility options that were once present and honed for ages were reworked to the point where they needed to be relearned all over again and some people just cannot cope with this.
(not to be mistaken with removed entirely.) GG+R TO GGXRD are fundamentally vary similar but alot of things were changed to the point where routing is completely different. GGXRD to GG STRIVE removed every single ounce of GG+R and GGXRD to the point where routing is completely mindless: poke with far slash, do wildassault, win.
It's fundamentally more boring even if the game has the face of the other.
Lotta people misunderstand the fine line between reworked but still there, and reworked made boringly easy.
Someone who has played tfc could reasonably still enjoy tf2, much like how i've seen many +R players enjoy XRD, but there will always be a lingering feeling that something is missing which ultimately pushes them back to their given game but still able to understand the strengths of each given game.
Comparing to deadlock to tf2 is like apples to oranges, atleast when it comes to tfc compared to tf2 their the same genre like comparing granny smiths to honeycrisp apples.
It's the same genre as tf2, unfortunetly. It's hard not to compare when you have literal characters in both games that do identical things just one has a "ez" button that does it for them without having to put much finesse behind them.
So it's more like the red delicious compared to honeycrisps. You can still have bad apples.
Deadlock's ui literally shows ♥♥♥♥ like buy items (dota) with lanes (dota) and abilitys that level(dota) has mobs (dota) it just allows you to shoot in third person (smite).
It's a moba.
