How do you get a vintage weapon?
Like, how does a weapon/hat become vintage?

it has too be around when the game first came out, and you can only get them from trading and the community market

Well I mean how long do you have to have them for them to become vintage?

Most Unique items that were around before Mann-Conomy Update became Vintage after the update went live.

You can get Vintage stuff from trading. They're generally not that expensive.

Unless they're Earbuds or The Lugermorph.

You can never get a Vintage Level 3 Chin, because it recently came out.

Basically, what the other guys are saying is that no matter how many hours you have an item for, it will never become Vintage. The only way to get an item in Vintage is to have had it before the Mann-Conomy update, which happened years ago.

Nah, Vintage Earbuds and The Vintage Lugermorph are literally the rarest items in the game (Besides the painted Cow Manglers), because people only got them due to a glitch where said items would disappear from people's inventories, so they got Vintage Earbuds (For missing Earbuds) and a Vintage Lugermorph with an effect (Like an Unusual Effect) of Community Sparkle (For lost Lugermorphs). As such, only a select few ever existed (It was only ever in the single/double-digits).

The OP is either a troll or just very. very. very. very. very. very incompetent.

Various people have already explained that the ONLY way an item EVER became vintage was if you had them a very long time ago, after that transition from normal to vintage, you CANNOT 'generate' any more vintage items. As in you can't turn an item into vintage quality in anyway. That means the ONLY WAY TO GET VINTAGE ITEMS is through trading, and even then you can't get a 'vintage level three chin' because that came out very recentely.

You were asking how to get a vintage level three chin. there is no such thing as a vintage level three chin. nor will there EVER be such thing as a vintage level three chin. That "vintage" event that changed all the unique items over to vintage hapenned once and ONLY once.
