Team Fortress 2
64 bit TF2
Is this really going to happen or is it wishful thinking. I can not find any new on this.

One would hope the 64 bit version will have some kind of anti-cheat / bot prevention paired with the release.

One can only hope..

It's happening.
TF2 is broken accross several rolling linux distros due to them dropping OpenGL or having recent versions of tcmalloc incompatible with the game, this will inevitably lead to incompatibilities on SteamOS and stable linux distros used to run servers like debian or ubuntu.
The question is when they will roll the beta into the main game, which with any luck will be after all linux servers break and Valve gets egg on their face.
Edit:Also, no bot fixes, lol lmao

There is a 64 bit beta. It's basically done AFAIK. Just needs to be pushed to the official release. Probably next seasonal update, unless Valve is being unpredictable as usual.

Only hope maybe they can fix spaghetti codes, VAC sucks on all valve games look CS 2

At best we'll get one day of clean games before all the cheats just update to 64 bit.

64 bit is a change to how tf2 uses your computer's resources, not a bot fix. it should make the game run better across the board for everybody, is especially good for linux, and tmk that's mostly it
on a side note if the community really wants to get rid of bots then they need to reject valve servers and mass embrace community hosted games. plugins would detect cheats while admins can get rid of bad actors more reliably than VAC

problem is a lot of the player base is just closet cheaters so naturally they're not going to advocate for community severs that aren't just anarchy
