Team Fortress 2

Why does TF2 never get fixed?
I come onto TF2 every few months or so to see if the problems change, if anything they seem to get worse. Bots everywhere.

I miss the good ol days. Community servers are the best option but most of them put me at triple digit ping.

VALVe pretty much abandoned the game
Probably because it doesn't make enough money unlike cs and dota.

Because Valve's internal structure sucks for making video games and they don't need to do anything since they make billions from Steam.

Only fixes are community driven within recent community maps, it seems.

It's a video game older than almost half the people playing it. At some point you have to accept when something it outdated, old and the devs just want to do other things.

The game's older than most of the community, and the devs have long since abandoned active development.

Right now the good people are monitoring the bad people to look for even worse people. Worst. People. Ever.

We knew the location of bin Laden for a while and used the opportunity to further map the terror network.

Keep sending in steam profile reports and try to keep a positive mindset.

Mainly because the only people still working on this game are Eric Smith and anyone Valve contracts for work. Bots are not a simple fix.

nothing short of killing official servers will stop bots

valve has infinite wealth, the incentive to do anything went away the day steam was born.

with people's consumer mentality that is unlikely to change anytime soon, people spend excess money happily and often no matter the company or quality of the product.

Why not? The game is doing fine financially, you can still play the game, if you see a lot of bots in one match, you can just leave. Yes, casual isn't perfect, bots are an issue, but... community servers EXIST.
TF2 does get fixed occasionally, but it's mostly server crashing exploits and other severe issues. And while the bot problem is rather severe, it's difficult to find a solution compared to server crashes.
