Opinion on the Direct Hit

I love it, it is my 2nd favorite rocket launcher and being able to smoke out a light class feels so good. The lack of explosive damage makes it hard to deal with multiple targets tho unless they are right next to each other.

What are your opinions on the direct hit?

I’ve never really used it, It’s good to use if you can aim, pick light classes like Scout easier or have sightlines of Sentries.

Never had an issue with it. It has it's nich, but not a direct upgrade to stock at all with the huge slash damage downgrade over stock/original. The larger the teams are to play against the more noticable that downside becomes.

I like it but the projectile speed isn't fast enough to offset my massive skill issue

Soldier "Mains" try to gaslight Soldiers into using it, it's a direct downgrade with its smaller splash radius and they always miss, making them easier to kill.

It's actually really good if you use it properly (hitting people directly instead of relying on splash)

It's just free damage and free rocket speed
I REALLY don't see the downside actually being annoying
you SHOULD use the shotgun/Panic Attack/"direct hit shotgun" with it

Being able to one-shot light classes with a fast as ♥♥♥♥ projectile is seen as a "downgrade" by soldier mains because they're too used to clicking at people's feet to win.
