Whats the motivation behind tf2 bots?
Honestly, i just don't get it. What are peoples gains/motivation to hosting bots? I know a old rumour about all the bot hosters are people who work for overwatch so people would switch to their game but I highly doubt that..

True...i wonder how much debt are the hosters in becose the number of laptops they have is unreal
They can host multiple bots on the same computer, lmao.
Yeah you can get 10-30 bots on even a bad computer. Also, you can rent computers for like $10 a month. Hosting bots is really cheap and anyone saying otherwise is just really mad at the bot hosters and living in a fantasy world where they can pretend like they're "going into debt" over pennies a day LOL.

They're extremely jealous.

Said bots compete against the multiple instances of TF2 for the CPU usage. TF2 may be known to be CPU heavy, but people can easily disable the cosmetics for additional performance. And bots aren't human players, they can't distinguish something beautiful from something ugly. So yeah, that's unfortunate

Say everyone stopped using Valves casual servers tomorrow and started using community servers.
Would there be enough servers for everyone?
What would stop the bot hosters from switching to community severs to grief and seek attention?
If it’s moderators they can’t police the bot’s 24/7, can they?
If it’s a plug-in why don’t valve use it?
Why isn’t there a bot problem on community servers as well if griefing and attention is what they want

Salvation for Tf2!!!

Would there be enough servers for everyone?
You betcha!!

What would stop the bot hosters from switching to community severs to grief and seek attention?
Casual closed, so they're finished seeking attention. They will then become good, up-standing members of the Tf2 community, providing fun, UNADULTERATED gameplay for everyone.

If it’s moderators they can’t police the bot’s 24/7, can they?
Sure they can! By incentivizing their own presence, any bot can accumulate enough digital currency to ensure their own future outside of gameplay. The real question? I'm sure we've all asked it...

... Will there EVER be enough bots for the moderators? Lol

If it’s a plug-in why don’t valve use it?
No one wants to plug-in a machine they don't understand. Accidents can happen!!

Why isn’t there a bot problem on community servers as well if griefing
And attention is what they want
*Scrutinizes community servers with a suspicious glare*...

... Gee, I WONDER... but which Community Server could possibly be behind all the problems in Tf2? *Boggles*

If I had to choose between "There would not be enough servers for everyone" and "There would be enough servers for everyone", sir, I would choose the latter, sir!

Sir! Community servers use plugins to ban the bots, sir! Valve does not use this plugin as it requires multiple third-party softwares, sir! While the plugin does not usually have any false detections, Valve will not utilize software they didn't make which they don't know how often it has false detections, sir! Even without the software, the bots are easily banned manually, sir! And these bans stay permanent, so they have to make entirely new accounts with entirely new IP addresses to circumvent them, sir! It isn't worth the hassle for the bot hosters when all of the dumbest and angriest people are on Valve servers anyways, sir!

I’ll move to community servers, any recommendations? The more vanilla the better

Well... Sir! The community server browser shows you a list of active servers, with how many players are on the, sir! If I had to choose between being a man who joins servers based only on their name, or a man who uses the community server browser, I'd be a man who uses the community server browser, sir! It has various filters you can use to find the right servers for you, sir!

Cheaters are insecure losers. The people hosting the bots are providing that service for insecure losers.

People leaving entirely have no passion for the game anyway
They either force themselves to like casual and avoid comm. servers or are stupid
why would anyone have passion for game so easily exploited? Dont invest your time in a game whos community is overrun with cheaters
