That's what I've been questioning as well. I thought it was a marketplace, not a bank. It reminds me of crypto platforms that defeat the purpose of crypto being decentralized, by people putting it on a centralized entity.

Someone stole a handful of items and sold them for dirt cheap on Russian trading sites. Mannco closed down and froze all the bots until they can recover what was lost and ensure it doesn't happen again.

In the future they shouldn't close the whole site down for a week. They should just have their insurance company reimburse people.
