Basically, if you try to use it like a regular Scattergun, you are likely to fail. You exchange your kill pressure for consistent harassment. You are no longer that offensive pick class, but a more defensive/supportive class that sticks with the team more often. Kind of the reverse of the Gunslinger/Huntsman, which give Engineer/Sniper a more aggressive playstyle.
With the Crit-A-Cola, you can turn yourself into a menace by sniping people with mini crits (it's also useful in direct combat, but I love harassing people from far away with that combo). I prefer to use the pistol though because it is more consistent.
It is also heavily cucked by random bullet spread.
