Team Fortress 2
help for sound.cache files.
I created my own hitsound and killsound but the sound.cache automatically generated by the game doesn't work, I don't get any sound at all. I tried a random one I found for another hitsound and it worked except it had CRAZY ammounts of distortion and static.

delete the sound.cache and let tf2 autogenerate one again?

I know this is old, but I've been crusading against this thing since yesterday. My old killsound, and default hitsound from before stay in the game even though they have been replaced. I think it's because they got cached, but I can't for the life of me find or delete the sound cache. Though, the command for resetting the sound cache isnt working, being snd_restart. I think I need to reinstall to get a regenerated sound cache.
