Is the Direct Hit actually good?

I've always written this off as a clip weapon that sucks, but I've been trying it out and fragging pubbers with it (an enormous accomplishment). Is this weapon secretly good and I was just prejudiced for no reason, or am I overvaluing how fun it is and conflating that with it being good?

Only if you’re really good at aiming other then that, no splash damage, yeah it ain’t for me.

It can be good, and you intend to hit directs anyway.

I hear most people calling it a crutch, while those who actually use the Direct Hit call splash damage a crutch. It's funny.

I think if you killed me what you used is a crutch, but if I killed you then what I used was really skillful and awesome.

It's great, but some days you just miss every shot. Even then it can at the very least clear out engie nests

yes but only because pubbers suck and the vast majority of them like playing light classes and getting really close to you for no reason.

It’s specific stats can be used for a for a situation/playstyle accordingly. Overvalue/prejudice is subjective to any player.

It’s bad if you rely on splash damage. It’s good if you get kills the weapon encourages. Direct hits.

It’s terrible if you can’t aim, which most soldier mains barely can. I know it’s ironic coming from a pyro main but I’m stating facts here not spilling ♥♥♥♥.

It’s obvious to tell when anyone is cheating with any rocket launcher because high crit rates and rockets not lining up where crosshairs and world models are pointing.
