I am coming back and posting this here because the cretin mods in r/tf2 deleted my post

TheWhat Show is one of my favorites youtubers, he makes some of the funniest content in this game, but recently he made a video I hate and made me question why I am subscribed to him. He betrayed the community calling content we get bad. He is making a video calling out the last bit of content we ever get and says its bad. he openly harasses the people making items for this game and the new maps and gamemodes we get. as much as i would love valve to wake up and make content for the game, harassing these people and calling their work bad isnt the correct thing to do. He is becoming a forum cretin when he previously hated them and exposed them for what they were.

worst of all, the whatshow now thinks savetf2 was a failure. #SaveTF2 worked and we got a big update, not major because valve ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks, but we got a big update with a new gamemode. he literally was one of the people who created it, and now he wants to betray us? he now thinks the same as forum cretins, i am dissapointed.

the what show, if you see this, ♥♥♥♥ you, i am unsubscribing from your channel, you suck unless you back out and say savetf2 was a success and appreciate the new content.

There is no real proof that SaveTF2 made Valve realize that TF2 exists, aside from one tweet. You could make an argument that had it not been for that, TF2 wouldn't have gotten bigger-than-usual updates, but I doubt that. Many bot fixes came before SaveTF2, and the seasonal updates are still seasonal updates, regardless of size.

Player numbers say otherwise. CS2 doesn't seem that bad after all. It's valid for you to say that you hate Counter-Strike, but your tastes are not objective truth.

TF2 was not the reason Overwatch died, unless you can give me proof that it did kill OW/2.
Just a reminder. OW is clearly inspired by TF2, and was claimed to be the "TF2 Killer", but that's what clickbaity idiots on the internet have said, not the devs. Both games play very differently from each other, and are only similar in that they are team-oriented, class-based first-person shooters. The OW vs TF2 feud is entirely fabricated. The only ones responsible for its downfall are Blizzard themselves.
Also, this may be hypocritical to say from me, considering that I mentioned them in the CS2 paragraph, but player numbers do not tell the whole story, and are meaningless out of context.

without savetf2, the game would not have gotten a big update filled with a new gamemode and new warpaints. we would not have gotten the seal either. savetf2 also got bots banned and those patches were specifically from savetf2. incredible how cretins hate this game.

VScript VSH has been worked on since VScript was added. It would have made it into the game either way. Maybe there's the argument that VScript was a thing after SaveTF2, thus it must have been added because of it, and otherwise, VScript VSH wouldn't have happened. That's one hell of a stretch though IMO.
Can you prove that SaveTF2 was responsible for the new content outside of Scream Fortress, and that we wouldn't have gotten it without SaveTF2? Because maps like Pier made it in before it was a thing.
Same for the bots, how do you know that it was SaveTF2 that made a few bots disappear? Is it reasonable to think that without SaveTF2, no bots would have been banned ever? That would contradict with the patches before SaveTF2 that combatted bots. Why are many bots still there if it was so successful? (I know the answer for the last one tbh)
Also, my personal opinion towards TF2 does not matter in this argument. I enjoy the game, but this is irrelevant.
