If you want to improve, just play the game. Practicing stuff only helps so far, but you will also need actual game experience.
Anyway, aim training with the revolver was obviously possible on there as well, unless the servers forced massive overheal on players (which I doubt, given that Amby exists and Spy mains swear by it, so it would be weird to not be able to practice headshots). It's just that this map specializes in movement and backstabbing.
I want to say that you can train your Spy aim by playing Scout since they're both hitscan and in practice would be identical, but for some reason I'm really accurate with the scattergun and almost always am on-target with high damage shots, but often with Spy I'll just straight up miss several times in a row. So the revolver is cursed I think, and just impossible to aim with.
It's hilarious to see the Spies that desperately try to go for your back, while you're just standing still and spinning around so you're facing the spy. Usually, I also let them poke me until they have entertained me enough, at which point I kill them.
I feel the same. While good shotgun aim should somewhat translate to the revolver and vice versa, they aren't completely interchangeable IMO.
However, when I whip out the Enforcer, I suddenly perform exponentially better than with any other weapon.
