"-dxlevel 81" is always resetting the settings & Some Tips for an FPS Boost?

Hey !
I wanted to play with Direct 8 ,so i typed in , in the launch option "-Dxlevel 81" its good but when im closing the game ,starting the game all the settings are resettet like the resolution ..
Can someone help me?

Or Do u have some Tips for an FPS boost :)?

Some really good fps cfgs are: http://www.teamfortress.tv/25328/comanglia-s-config-fps-guide and http://clugu.com/tf2mate/. But if you want to play MM you will have to play with directx 9. And if those configs arent enough you can just send me an friend invite and i will help you.

Remove -dxlevel 81 from launch option

Meh,i use dxlvl 90,graphics are bad but least playable
