Is there a way to turn off character voices?

After 800+ hours in game, the voices such as 'HEI WHOZ NOT PUSHIN THEH CART -scout' gets pretty annoying, i'd really appreciate if someone could enlighten me on how i could go about turning this off- tah
EDIT: i havent managed to find anything on googles :(

It might be helpful sometimes. Eg: when your teammate/enemy is on fire, you can hear them by the voice thing

You can technically turn them off the same way you install sound mods, it just has to be a blank sound file.

Yes, I thought that was implied. It won't work on servers with sv_pure.
