Worse toxic thing you'll see in tf2, are groups of cheaters letting some script program beat casuals for them.
I couldn't do it, I don't even understand it honestly. Sounds to me like the most boring way to spend time imaginable. Yet they group up and it's a nightly thing for some people.

How micro p small must you be, and how blasted must your hole have been from dying in the tf2... that like helps you cope. It's... alien to me it's so sad.
Bot makers make more sense. Who legit wants to have their finger stuck on a w key and clicking a mouse button time to time, so that a game can just be played for you.

It's video game. You're pretend-fighting already, you want to pretend to do the pretend-fighting. Odd.

Tf2 is full of Fatherless behavior (People spamming the Nword, Egotystical, hacking) etc.

Ignore people that say friendlies are toxic. (90% of them aren't, there is always the odd one out)

Most people are fine. Some have to drop all kinds of slurs to get reactions since they aren't loved by their parents, but they are just a loud minority. It's funny to mess with their fragile egos though :D

In my experience over the years - the pleasant/positive experiences drastically outweigh the negative!

That being said - if you are being genuine in asking... The forums are not representative of the population you will be playing with! There are a lot of bait threads, satires, and braindead posts here... As long as you are friendly, generally people are always receptive to vibing with you. At least in MY experience using voice chat and/or text chat.
