Comp players are like 2% of the playerbase bruh they like the game that way. Even though i'm a comp player i like every version of TF2. Comp players say that if we make the competitive side of the game stronger, it will bring more players to it which i agree. That's one of the reasons why few old games still having a solid playerbase like Clash Royale and CS:GO. Also pls don't take people who never played competitive TF2 before and made a video about it serious*, please.
Of course you'll agree with the 2% of comp players. What about the 98% of the playerbase? It sounds like you all circlejerked each other's opinions and thought "yep, making TF2 more competitive will definitely somehow bring more players in." And really? Clash Royale? A mobile game? You must be joking.
I should clarify that competitive players are part of the reason why TF2 is dying. Not the sole reason, but part of it.
this isnt bf or cod where try hards are
No ♥♥♥♥, I started this game to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game not to jerk off to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unusual effects.
If CR stood as a casual game the game would've died after the Mega Knight. The 98% of the playerbase ain't ♥♥♥♥. that 98% of the playerbase at least the half of it doesn't even play the game. They either trade, stays as a friendly, cheats, hosting bots, plays a custom gamemode rather than the actual game etc.
The skill level of the whole playerbase is so low that when you do something so basic they call you tryhard for doing that.
Oh sorry, i don't play 100+ games, i know 3 IP's barely. Rest of the games i have on my library was because either my friends told me to buy the damn thing and play once or play a different game that is not shooter.
Other retarded games exist such as Valorant and Overwatch but i didn't want to give those as example because Blizzard and Riot games are straight up garbage.
Valorant also has a playerbase because of it's competitive design, overwatch 2 is also doing good despite the TF2 community thinks the game died with the hype.
Friendlies encourage griefing, filling up spaces in a First Person Shooter. They kick a person when you kill them. Their only purpose is to annoy people who is smarter than an amoeba and ruin the game straight up because of the retarded playerbase not killing the friendly but doing "haha kyoot hoovi lemme join!1!!111".
lol.
Maybe you should brush up on your English a bit and reread what I've typed.
What does 'Clash Royale' have to do with TF2 beyond competitive nonsense?
You act as if it's all the playerbase does, but I bet you just ignore majority of the player base and the custom servers while you play MGE with your small competitive population. Or maybe you just go to a server and ♥♥♥♥ on friendlies just because they trigger you the moment you see one.
Are you so narcissistic that you honestly believe you and your little competitive population is somehow more skilled than the ENTIRE playerbase?
Do you even realise why majority of the player base doesn't like competitive in TF2? They don't like it because they're not skilled, they don't like it because the comp players are desperate for e-sports garbage because they don't want to get a job for money. Meaning they have to DRASTICALLY change the game just to adhere to competitive garbage.
Who cares if you play 100+ games or not? That's not what I'm focused on, and I don't care about your life choices involving your "friends."
You don't want to give Valorant and Overwatch as an example but then do so later anyway, pretty pointless to say all of that then, huh?
Those games don't have a player base just because it's competitively designed. They only have a population because they're just trend-chasing games that focus on e-sports trash while pandering to woke sensibilities. These games aren't even interesting for anything else beyond competitive garbage or Twitch streamer advertisements.
What are friendlies griefing besides your K/D and W/L ratio for CASUAL mode? They'll either appear most of the time in community servers and randomly in casual. Do you honestly think they'll queue up for competitive mode at all? You even act as if friendlies will make an impact in a 12v12 where 5-6 players will always do majority of the work.
I understand that there are aggressive friendlies which can be annoying and ruin the experience, but you won't find them in casual mode all the time. So you must be sweating on friendlies in community servers just to annoy them, even if they are annoying themselves. That's literally your problem you self-inflicted. However, I'm only assuming that.
Type less please, maybe you'll get your point across.
