A good inexpensive item to get the premium ?

As a F2P, I am considering getting a TF2 item on Steam which is not bad and not very expensive to get the premium. Which one would I take for this?

I typically suggest buying either Mann Co key, or Tour of Duty ticket. Their advantage is that their Mann Co store price isn't much different from steam market price, allowing to then either sale them on market, or (better) trade for lots of refined metal and use that to easily buy all "unique" weapons in the game as well as perhaps some hats.

These keys cannot be obtained when purchasing one only?. And so if I'm premium, I can earn cosmetics regularly by playing casual games?

Keys never drop randomly, that's what let's them keep their price. Unlike metal, which gets cheaper and cheaper over time.

Hats can indeed drop randomly for premium players (usually cheap ones), but only rarely and you don't get which ones you get. By trading, you can get exactly the items you want without having to play for several years.

thanks for your tips guys, i think i will take the key to get the premium. because I wanted to take the premium to speak in the chat to (I initially thought) to obtain cosmetics often by playing the game while being premium

A Mann Co. Supply Crate Key is what I would probably go for because you can use it as a mean of currency throughout trading. If you technically sort of want your money back, you can sell it on the community market.

if I like this cosmetic or something else using this key, well that's my only opportunity if I'm not going to pay again. BUT if it is the opposite, I would be forced to resell it at a higher price than the Mann co key
