yesterday i played a game against a heavy that was using it on attack, their pyro was insulting him in chat for using it and was actually getting really pissed off but... the heavy was destroying me xD i was demo and i always hit him with 3 pipes but due to the resistance the last one did only 80dmg and i couldnt shoot another one so he always killed me

so yeah, brass beast can be really good

It can be decent on last point in 5cp, cart on payload. But imo it needs a slight buff to its stats to be truly good.

I like Brast Beast too, it does need to be alleviated on it's downsides though.

It can work pretty well on A/D and payload maps as a mobile sentry ambush weapon. But trying to use it as you would any other minigun will be a bad time.

brass beast is great, i use it for anything and i dont care if i die 230 times every round, its so fun. i love killing people

It’s actually a pretty good weapon for last holds in which you don’t really have to move far, much less from spawn.
360 effective hp (or 540 with buffs) is no joke and a free 20% damage buff on top of that allows heavy to act as an impromptu sentry gun in a pinch.

Not all situational unlocks are good, but heavy definitely got the better end of the stick.

Yes it is. When I play heavy i often move by jumping and reving mid air and I actually enjoyed doing so with Brass Beast
