Is huntsman just crap?
you fire one arrow that does less damage than a direct hit rocket, which has 4x the ammo store, 3x the firerate and gives you a health pool of 200 if you use it, plus no unreliable charging/arcing projectiles.

you can't compete against other snipers with this bow, it just feels like such a weak, gimmicky toy weapon. I REALLY want to like it, i've been using it for ages now and i can't make it work. Kills just feel more like luck than skill & my k/d is negative more often than not, no matter how hard i try.

even hitting enemies in close quarters requires a ton of reading and prayers, why, WHY, is the only not-boring sniper weapon so darn niche & ineffective.

what the hell am i missing with this thing? should i just spam it down chokes on payload or something? aargh!

It's a fun gimmick but not very good in serious games. It's probably the best weapon to get taunt kills with though.

I didn't read your post but yes.
Its only purpose is to turn Sniper into either the worst combat class in the game, or just a really bad sniper.
Also it has objectively the most retarded hitboxes in the entire game because otherwise it would actually be difficult to use, at which point it becomes blatantly obvious that a real Sniper Rifle would be far more effective.
It is simultaneously a crutch and a noob trap, and should not be taken seriously under any circumstances.

People calling it lucksman for reason.

It's fun memeing on people in the turbine vents, but that seems to be all it is good for.

I only play huntsman sniper. It's a million times more fun than using the rifle, and no one ever accuses you of cheating.

You're not really doing much to beat the allegations that you're still in your tweens.

Still way too old for your tastes.

Catch an arrow with your eye!
Direct Hit does more than 360 damage? Wtf?

In real life arrows slow the animal down, by pinning organs/muscles/bones from moving. Idk if that mechanic can be introduced.

Like a bodyshot is 1/2 strength but slows the target by 1/2.
Huntsman over the years has always felt more fair to use then the standard rifles. the only thing that's annoying is dealing with spam down tight hall ways or at choke points where you can just keep shooting and kill people before you know they're even there.

It generally will force the sniper in a lot of situations to push up with the team, which in turn means it's not nearly as annoying to counter him as he's closer to the fight and not 500 feet behind his team, forcing you to fight through them to get to him.

Classic is a way better version of huntsman

You trade a high damage, hit scan weapon
For a slow projectile that does less damage.

the benefits:
Better FoV
Charge jump shots (which is useless on sniper)
Fast damage charge ramp up (with lower max damage)

the cons:
You loose a hit scan weapon
It does less damage
The arrow can be reflected
Less ammo

The benefits don't out weight the cons.

Why would you trade a hit scan weapon for a projectile that does less damage and is less consistent at all ranges?

Huntsman is pretty much a straight downgrade unfortunately.

It would be nice to see a rework, either have it do more damage the the sniper rifle or have the arrows travel faster and be less inconsistent.

I find people who write a lot to be overcompensating for lack of knowledge, trying to make themselves seem smarter. Huntsman is for spamming chokes and playing more aggressively. Simple as.
