does steam gift cards work on mann co store (will i be able to talk after i use a gift card on mann co store?)

i cant talk in tf2 i just want to know that does gift cards make my account premium

Gift cards give you steam wallet credit, that should work on the ingame store.
Should work as long as your Steam account is not limited (you have put 5 dollars on it)
