>terrible take
every time
but anyways it's hated because
>it sets you on fire for 5 minutes after you get caught in even the splash of the projectile and
>direct hits damage you twice on top of setting you on fire for 5 minutes
>direct hits inflict hitstun by effectively freezing you for a moment (the loose cannon does the same thing as this but nobody talks sh!t about it like ??)
>pairs well with the phlog
>makes choke points even more hellish to challenge
>pyros with this weapon become exponentially more difficult to fight as the battle continues as subsequent hits are made easier and more rewarding on their part (more damaging for hitting a burning enemy) while the constant fire damage puts your life on an ever-shortening timer and even if you can kill the pyro there's a good chance you'll just burn to death anyways (but this is a problem with pyro in general)
>it's a pyro weapon (free space)
It's essentially QWTF's and TFC's version of the Incendiary Cannon.
That better be sarcasm
pretty much this
the scorch shot is annoying but is hardly as big of a problem as things in the past
